May Shimon Peres’ memory be for a blessing. “He was one of the last of Israel’s Founding Fathers,” said Yair Rotstein Executive Director of the U.S.-Israel Binational Science Foundation. “As befitting of a man who watched an entire nation emerge from desert land, he loved to dream big, and he was always focused on the future. Peres was a passionate and enthusiastic supporter of Israeli scientific advancements, and of our work at BSF to forge scientific collaborations between Israel and the United States. While we mourn his loss, we can think of no better tribute to him than to continue supporting the scientific research that will propel Israel, the United States, and the entire world, into the future.”

Shimon Peres was a proud advocate for U.S.-Israel scientific collaborations. He said, “The support of the United States – Israel Binational Science Foundation has not only been a valuable factor in the important scientific developments achieved at the present time, but will also prepare the next generation of U.S. and Israeli scientists for a leadership role in our global tomorrow.” Read his message to BSF
