Stephen Bryen Joins AFBSF Board

Stephen Bryen, PhD. recently joined the board of the American Friends of the U.S.-Israel Binational Science Foundation (AFBSF). He brings over 40 years of experience in government and industry having served as a senior staff director of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, as the head of a grass roots political organization, as the head of the Jewish Institute for National Security affairs, as the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Trade Security Policy, and the founder and first director of the Defense Technology Security Administration, as President of Delta Tech Inc., as the President of Finmeccanica North America and as a Commissioner of the U.S.-China Security Review Commission. Currently Steve is CEO of Ziklag Systems LLC, a unique mobile security company offering advanced security products for the enterprise.

Known as a Washington insider, he has many other talents as well. An invitation to dine at his home is coveted, as Steve is a gourmet chef. He also is known as an expert in anything Italian and is often called upon to recommend that best Italian restaurants in Washington D.C.

Through his proven government, civic and business leadership in Washington D.C. and internationally, Steve looks forward to lending his expertise to AFBSF. He hopes to identify new funding avenues for the important scientific research conducted between Israeli and American scientists in their laboratories across the United States and Israel.
